The story of three brilliant designers and what we can learn from them.
I’m intrigued by the enormous gap in quality we’re facing in UX design. The range of user experiences covers everything from extremely frustrating to utterly delightful.
Of course, it’s never a designer’s intention to create something bad. Nonetheless, even the worst interfaces were studiously created by somebody. And at the same time, there are designers out there who repeatedly create brilliant interfaces in a relaxed, even casual manner.
In my talk I’d like to discuss the nature of this gap and how to close it. To do this, I will first share the stories of some truly influential designers in our field. We will then explore the defining factors of their success and try to learn something from them.
Spoiler alert: It takes a lot more than just talent and hard work…
